Chelsea, Arsenal stalemate leaves both nine points off leaders Liverpool

Chelsea and Arsenal on Sunday battled to an exciting 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, with both goals coming in a lively second half.

The first half concluded scoreless as each side missed clear opportunities to take the lead.

In the second half, Arsenal broke the deadlock when Martin Odegaard delivered a perfectly weighted pass that found Gabriel Martinelli at the near post. Martinelli controlled the ball and skillfully struck it from a tight angle, giving Arsenal a 1-0 advantage.

Chelsea responded just minutes later. Neto, receiving a pass from a teammate, unleashed a powerful low shot that slipped past Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, leveling the score for the hosts.

Despite both teams pressing for a winning goal in the remaining minutes, neither could find the breakthrough. The match concluded with a 1-1 scoreline, and Chelsea and Arsenal each took a point from the encounter.

With the stalemate, both clubs sit 3rd and fourth, respectively on the table, with nine points each, nine off leaders Liverpool who have 28 points from eleven matches.
