Protesters storm Redeem Camp, criticize Adeboye over silence on insecurity, ‘prosecution of Christians’

Protesters led by hip-hop artists, Eedris Abdukarim, Baba Fryo Denge on Monday, stormed the main gate of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) camp, Mowe, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, demanding that the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor E.A. Adeboye speaks up against “growing injustices and insecurity in the country.”
The protesters said Pa Adeboye’s silence in the wake of what they called “prosecution of Christians by the President Muhammadu Buhari led government was no longer golden.
They said it was unfortunate that the General Overseer has kept mute, while according to them, “thousands of Christians are being slaughtered daily with Leah Sharibu’s still in Boko Haram detention.
They called on the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) to Suspend Pastor Adeboye for “complicity,” accusing the renowned preacher of “shying” away from truth “because the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is a Pastor in the RCCG.”
