Deadly romance: Fulani herders deploy charms, cash to win Okun women

The body of a herder has been found in a fadama (lowland farm) in Riwaza, near Fobgbe community, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Residents said a farmer discovered the corpse around 6:22 p.m. on Monday while returning from his farm.

According to villagers, the herder had been missing since Sunday after leaving his settlement in Riwaza with his cattle for grazing.

“It was on Monday evening when the Ardo Fulani [Fulani community leader] in Fobgbe raised the alarm that a Fulani man who went to rear cows had not returned,” a source said. “It wasn’t until a farmer on his way back from the farm saw the corpse in the fadama.”

The Ardo Fulani, Shehu Usman, confirmed the discovery, noting that the deceased had left with his cows on Sunday and failed to return.

He added that the incident was not immediately reported to security agencies due to the distance and poor road conditions between the village and Kwali.
