Akinleye urges Christians to embrace love, selfless service, unity at Christmas

The Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of love, selfless service and unity as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
In his Christmas message, Alhaji Akinleye described the season as a sacred period that reminds humanity of the enduring values of love, sacrifice, humility and compassion embodied in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
He called on Christians to emulate Christ-like virtues and to love one another irrespective of religious background.
“Christmas offers us a profound opportunity to reflect on the enduring values of love, peace, tolerance and service to one another,” he said. “It is a time to renew our commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and collective responsibility in building a stronger and more united society.”
The Chief of Staff urged Christians to use the festive period to extend kindness to the less privileged, promote harmony within their communities and serve as ambassadors of peace, particularly at a time when the world is grappling with social and economic challenges.
“Beyond the celebrations, let us allow the true spirit of Christmas to guide our actions by showing compassion to the vulnerable, supporting one another and strengthening the bonds that unite us as a people,” he added.
Alhaji Akinleye reaffirmed the commitment of the Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, to inclusive governance, peace and the welfare of all citizens, regardless of faith or background.
He concluded by wishing Christians a joyous celebration and a hopeful new year.
“I wish all Christians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. May the coming year usher in renewed hope, good health, peace and greater opportunities for our dear state and nation,” he said.
