The Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Olanrewaju Saka, has urged the Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA) to intensify efforts toward road maintenance across the state and maintain a comprehensive database of roads at various stages of development.

Saka made the call while receiving the management team of the agency during a courtesy visit to his office. The delegation was led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works and General Manager of OGPWA, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, who was represented by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Ojumoola Onawoga.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Onawoga congratulated the Head of Service on his appointment and pledged the continued support and cooperation of the management and staff of the agency toward the success of his tenure.

Also speaking, the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Engr. Bola Onakoya, assured the Head of Service of the agency’s unwavering commitment to the state’s infrastructural development agenda. He reaffirmed OGPWA’s resolve to ensure that roads across Ogun State remain motorable and accessible for residents.

Responding, Saka expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the agency for the visit and for identifying with him. He solicited their prayers, cooperation and support in the discharge of his responsibilities.

The Head of Service stressed the importance of regular road maintenance as a critical component of infrastructure development and urged the agency to ensure proper documentation and maintenance of a comprehensive database of roads across the state.
