Osun Chief of Staff, Akinleye Commiserates With Erelu Olusola Obada Over Husband’s Death

Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, has expressed heartfelt condolences to former Deputy Governor of the state, Her Excellency Erelu Olusola Obada, over the passing of her husband, Dr. Felix Babatunde Obada.

In a personally signed condolence message, Akinleye described the late Dr. Obada as a man of honour, diligence, and a father figure whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

“Though death is inevitable, it took Dr. Obada from us at a time his wisdom and experience were still much needed,” Akinleye lamented.

He extolled the late Dr. Obada’s intellectual prowess and integrity, noting his remarkable contributions to national development—particularly in the petroleum sector and digital governance.

“Dr. Obada’s visionary leadership in pioneering e-Government reforms marked him out as a patriotic trailblazer, deeply committed to building a better and more efficient nation,” he stated.

“At this difficult time, I extend my deepest condolences to Her Excellency, Erelu Olusola Obada, on the painful loss of her beloved husband. This is a moment of profound sorrow, not just for the family, but for all who knew and respected the distinguished life of service he lived.”

Akinleye concluded his message with prayers, asking Almighty Allah to grant Erelu Obada and the entire family the strength to bear the irreparable loss, and for the soul of the departed to find eternal rest and peace.
