Imo ADC urges Nigerians to get PVC

By Ori Martins
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, has called Nigerians to ensure they get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready in order to vote out the current All Progressives Congress (APC) so as to cause a positive change in the country in 2027.
In a release made available to press in Owerri, the ADC, through the media team, and signed by the publicity secretary, Chief MacDonald Amadi, said the future of Nigeria is dependent on PVCs.
According to him, “The future of our country depends on the decisions we make today. Nigeria stands at a defining moment in her history, and the responsibility of securing a better future rests with every citizen. One of the most effective ways to bring about positive change is through active participation in the electoral process.
“Bad governance can only be confronted and replaced when citizens exercise their democratic rights. Your Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is more than a voting requirement; it is a powerful instrument for demanding accountable leadership, good governance, economic prosperity, improved security, quality education, and accessible healthcare”.
Amadi added, “The message is clear: No PVC, No Vote. No Vote, No Change. The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Imo State Chapter, therefore calls on all eligible citizens and residents of Imo State who are qualified to vote to take advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration exercise by visiting the nearest INEC registration centre”.
The director general of New Media, Imo ADC, Mr Ihezie Deede Wallax, called on all Nigerians to be aware that the PVC is a power onto itself. He said, “The Permanent Voter Card is more than an identification document. It is your constitutional right and your gateway to participating in the democratic process. It empowers you to influence the direction of government and contribute to shaping the future of our state and nation.
“Every vote counts, and every citizen has a role to play. By obtaining your PVC, you strengthen your voice and contribute to the emergence of competent, responsible, and people-centred leadership.
“Do not wait until the registration period closes. Visit the nearest INEC office or registration centre today and register for your Permanent Voter Card”.
The publicity secretary noted that the only way to get a better Nigeria was for Nigerians to get their PVCs ready and ensure that the ruling party is voted out in 2027. “The APC has damaged Nigeria beyond imagination. Things are terrible. Cost of living is high. People cannot go to hospital because of lack of capital. Insecurity is all over the place – kidnapping, killing, armed robbery, arson and other criminal activities – are ravaging all over the country. We must use our PVCs to vote out this APC at all levels”, he said.
Amadi reminded Nigerians that the validation of the voters register was on going and should therefore make out time in order to procure the PVC.
