Annie Macaulay debunks reports of reunion with 2Baba

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has refuted claims that she has reconciled with her former husband, veteran singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba.

The actress dismissed the reports in a post shared via her Instagram Stories on Monday, explaining that the videos circulating online were outdated and had been taken out of context.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote.

The rumours began after a throwback video showing Annie and 2Baba sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub resurfaced on social media last Friday.

The footage quickly sparked widespread speculation, with many users suggesting the former couple had revived their relationship.

However, Annie’s response has laid the speculation to rest, stressing that the video was from an earlier period and should not be interpreted as evidence of a reconciliation.

The actress and the Afrobeats star, who share two daughters, officially ended their marriage in January 2025 after being together for more than 10 years.

Since then, 2Baba has moved on with his personal life and is now married to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
