Osun 2026: Oyebamiji receives APC certificate of return, reaffirms commitment to victory

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has reaffirmed his commitment to leading the party to victory in the August 8, 2026 poll.

Oyebamiji gave the assurance on Friday shortly after receiving his certificate of return from the leadership of the party at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

He pledged to work closely with all stakeholders and members of the party to strengthen unity and enhance the APC’s chances of securing a landslide victory at the polls.

“I am honoured to receive this certificate of return, and I want to assure the party leadership that the people of Osun are ready for the APC to reclaim power from what I describe as a dancing government,” Oyebamiji said.

“The business of governance is a serious one. Osun State is endowed with immense human and material resources, but what we need is a serious manager to drive these assets effectively. That serious manager is Bola Oyebamiji.

“Now that I have the support of the leaders and members of our great party to fly the APC flag, we will carry this mandate with responsibility. Come 2026 and 2027, we will deliver Osun State for the APC in both the governorship and presidential elections. We will return the progressives to the Bola Ige House in 2026 and renew the mandate of Mr President in 2027,” he assured.

Oyebamiji also expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Adebisi Akande, and other national leaders of the party for their support. He specifically thanked members of the APC National Executive Council led by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; the overall leader of the party in Osun State and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Basiru; the APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal; as well as party leaders and members at both the national and state levels for their unwavering backing.
