FIDSON leads losers as market drops 0.37%

Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Wednesday closed on a bearish note as the All Share Index dropped by 0.37% to close at 200,925.75 points from the previous close of 201,668.42 points.

Investors’ wealth plunged by N477 billion as Market Capitalisation nosedived by 0.37% to close at N128.977 trillion from the previous close of N129.454 trillion.

An aggregate of 538 million units of shares were traded in 45,641 deals, valued at N25.4 billion.

The Market Breadth closed balanced as 32 equities emerged as gainers against 32 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Legend Internet led other gainers with 10.00% growth, closing at N7.26 from N6.60

ZICHIS and Premier Paints among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.93% and 9.93% respectively.

Percentage Losers

FIDSON led other price decliners as it shed 9.97% of its share price to close at N94.85 from the previous close of N105.35.

AUSTINLAZ and Living Trust Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.89% and 7.08 respectively.

Volume Drivers

Wema Bank traded about 104 million units of its shares in 604 deals, valued at N2.75 billion.

ACCESSCORP traded about 43 million units of its shares in 1580 deals, valued at N1.11 billion.

Zenith Bank traded about 34 million units of its shares in 3369 deals, valued at N3.56 billion.
