CVR: Akinleye urges Osun residents to participate massively

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commences online Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in Osun State today, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, has called on residents to take full advantage of the exercise.
In a statement he personally signed, Akinleye urged all eligible citizens—particularly those who have just turned 18, as well as individuals who lost or damaged their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)—to seize the opportunity to register.
He stressed that the voter’s card remains the strongest instrument for sustaining democracy and shaping the future of the state. “This is a golden opportunity for our people to secure their place in the democratic process. The PVC is the most powerful tool for determining the future of Osun State,” he said.
Akinleye also appealed for massive participation to ensure the state continues to enjoy the dividends of democracy under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
According to INEC guidelines, the online pre-registration has begun via https://cvr.inecnigeria.org, while physical registration will commence on Monday, August 25, 2025, at INEC local government offices and designated centres across the state. The exercise will run Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
