Champions League semi-final dates announced

UEFA has confirmed the dates for the semi-finals of the 2026 UEFA Champions League as clubs continue their quest for a place in the final scheduled for Budapest, Hungary.

The semi-final fixtures will see the first leg played on Wednesday, April 29, while the return leg is set for Tuesday, May 5. Both matches will kick off at 9pm.

However, teams must first navigate the quarter-final stage before booking a place in the last four. One of the quarter-final ties will see Sporting CP take on their opponents over two legs next month.

The first leg of that quarter-final encounter will be played in Lisbon on Tuesday, April 7, shortly after the FA Cup fixture against Southampton.

The return leg is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, at the Emirates Stadium, with kick-off also fixed for 9pm.

Should the team progress past the Portuguese champions, they will face either Spanish giants FC Barcelona or Atlético de Madrid in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the grand finale of Europe’s premier club competition will take place on Saturday, May 30, at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. The match is expected to kick off at 6pm.
