Actress Jumoke George cries out over homelessness, failing health, missing child

Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has made an emotional appeal for help as she battles homelessness, poor health, and the trauma of a missing child.
In a heartfelt interview on the TalkToB show hosted by actress Abiola Adebayo, George broke down in tears while recounting the series of personal tragedies that have left her desperate and broken.
“I don’t have a home. I don’t have anything. And a child of mine has been missing,” she sobbed during the interview, a clip of which was posted Tuesday on Adebayo’s Instagram page.
George, known for her roles in Yoruba-language films, revealed she has been living in a church, relying on the goodwill of congregants to survive. “Most times it’s the church mummy that feeds me,” she said, adding that her failing health has made her situation even more unbearable.
She disclosed that her first child, Adeola, has been missing for four years. “Deola turned 41 on May 1. I’ve tried to find her. I’ve tried as a Christian. But there’s been no news.”
Despite her condition, the actress said she continues to care for her grandchildren. However, rising medical expenses have added to her burden.
“I’ve been sick since January 2. I’ve done several tests, and now I’ve been asked to do tests on my brain and heart. It will cost N400,000. I don’t have the means. I don’t sleep because I’m always in pain,” she said.
With a voice shaking from exhaustion, she appealed for public prayers and support. “Please, mothers in the world, pray for me. I have never harmed anyone. I am tired.”
Her emotional revelations have triggered an outpouring of sympathy from colleagues and fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express solidarity and offer assistance.
