Zamfara governor sacks Emir for aiding bandits

Zamfara State governor, Dr Bello Matawalle has sacked the Emir of Maru, Abubakar Cika for “aiding and abetting bandits in the state.”

The governor who announced the sack via his twitter handle @Bellomatawalle1, said it is regrettable that leaders who are suppose to protect their subjects turn around to become their destroyers.

“We have sacked the Emir of Maru, Abubakar Cika for aiding and abetting bandits in the state, He will be prosecuted with the district head of Kanoma, Ahmed Kanoma,” he said.

“It’s a shame that leaders who are suppose to protect their communities are the front runners of its destruction.”
