The two chambers of the National Assembly, the Senate and the House of Representatives led by Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, respectively, will come to a close on Wednesday.

In a notice to lawmakers, Clerk of the lower legislative chamber, Yahaya Danzaria, said the green chamber will hold its valedictory session on Wednesday.

Danzaria said the event will commence at 10am in the green chamber of the House of Representatives.

He said the programme of the event will include the delivery of a speech by Gbajabiamila, goodwill messages by the principal officers, and the presentation of certificates of membership to lawmakers.

Danzaria said the event will have in attendance former presiding officers and clerks of the green chamber.

The 10th house will be inaugurated on June 13.
