Nigerian capital market to transition to T+1 settlement cycle May 29

The Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) has notified capital market participants that of the move to transition to T+1 Settlement Cycle.

CSCS stated thus:

“We are pleased to inform all stakeholders that preparations are underway for transition of the Nigerian Capital Market to a T+1 Settlement Cycle scheduled to take effect on Friday, 29th May, 2026”.

Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) is Nigeria’s Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI), responsible for the depository, clearing, settlement and timely reporting of all securities transactions in the Nigerian Capital Market.
