Lagos police arrest vigilantes for setting robbery suspect ablaze

The Lagos State Police command has arrested some vigilantes for setting a suspected robber ablaze.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, who disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Monday, wrote “Community members arrested a thief in the act. They handed him over to vigilantes.

“Minutes later, community members were shocked to find the apprehended thief being burnt alive.

“Vigilantes have been arrested and will be prosecuted. Say no to jungle justice.”
