JAMB Releases 2025 Mock UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB disclosed that candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered for the examination.

The mock examination, which is optional, was organized to test JAMB’s annual innovations and help candidates become familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.

Out of the 200,115 candidates who initially expressed interest in the mock exercise, two later withdrew, leaving 200,113 officially registered candidates. However, 73,844 candidates were absent on the examination day, and 88 others failed biometric verification.

As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the exam, and results for 115,735 of them have now been released. The results of the remaining 10,446 candidates are still being processed and will be released soon.

“The Board acknowledges the delays experienced by some candidates during the examination and regrets any inconvenience caused. These challenges were expected due to the new features implemented to enhance the conduct of the main UTME,” the statement noted.

JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates and parents for their understanding and support, noting that the mock examination continues to serve its purpose—identifying lapses, testing new systems, and preparing candidates for the main examination.

Candidates have been urged to remain committed and continue their preparations for the main UTME to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
