Nigerian Students Win Multiple Gold Medals at International STEM Olympiad in Italy

Nigeria has recorded a major feat on the global academic stage as its students won multiple gold medals at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Finals held in Rome, Italy.
The development was announced by the Chief Executive Officer of Educare, Alex Onyia, who sponsored the Nigerian contingent to the competition.
According to Onyia, Chimdiebube Onwubiko and Don-Anele Munachimso both won gold medals in the highly competitive Mathematics category for students in Grades 9, 10 and 11, outperforming contestants from several countries.
He described the achievement as a testament to the exceptional talent, dedication and academic excellence of the Nigerian students.
Onyia also disclosed that Onyedikachi Egejurum won a gold medal in the Primary Mathematics category, emerging as the world’s best in the category.

“Onyedikachi Egejurum got a Gold. He is the best in Mathematics in the world Primary Category. This is the beginning of greatness for the country,” he wrote on X.
In another post, Onyia announced that Don-Anele Munachimso also secured a gold medal in Science, describing him as the world’s best science student at the competition.
“More good news. Don Anele Munachimso also won gold in Science. He is the best in world science. Remember, he is the best in IGCSE Chemistry in Nigeria. The investment is worth it,” he stated.
The students’ outstanding performance has been hailed as another milestone for Nigeria in international academic competitions and underscores the growing global recognition of the country’s young talents in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
