England beat Germany 2-1 to win Women’s European Championship

The Lionesses of England have defeated Germany 2-1 in extra time to win the 2022 European Women’s Championship.

The pulsating encounter which took place at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, but England went on to win it in the second half of extra time.

The English side are now Champions of Europe for the very first time in history.
