NASS leadership; APC throws weight behind Saraki, Dogara

The All Progressives Congress has finally conceded to Dr. Bukola Saraki’s emergence as the Senate President after series of insinuations that the election of the lawmaker did follow the party procedure.

Shortly after the APC leaders met on Friday, it was resolved that Saraki and his counterpart, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon.Yakubu Dogara , should be allowed to carry on with their present NASS leadership positions.

Speaking to journalists, the Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun said that there was nothing APC could do over the election of Saraki  and Dogara now, because they were duly elected by their colleagues in the senate and the house of representatives.

He stated that the party would not allow the process at which the NASS leadership emerged but would go back to the drawing board to fortify the party more.
