Akinleye mourns Fatai Diekola, describes death as monumental loss

Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Fatai Diekola, describing it as a monumental loss to Osogboland, Osun State, and the political family he served with extraordinary dedication.
In a condolence message personally signed by him, Akinleye hailed the late Diekola as a fearless political mobiliser, a committed progressive, and a man whose life was defined by service, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to justice and the welfare of the people.
He noted that Diekola’s death leaves a significant void in Osun State’s political landscape.
“I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Alhaji Fatai Diekola, a political icon, community leader, and a man of rare courage and conviction. His demise is a painful loss not only to his immediate family but also to Osogboland and Osun State at large. He lived a life of service, standing firmly for justice, fairness, and the upliftment of the common people.
“He was a dependable ally and a voice for the voiceless. His contributions to politics and community development remain indelible, and his unwavering commitment to the cause of the people will continue to inspire generations yet unborn. Truly, a great man has fallen.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, associates, and the entire people of Osogboland. May Almighty Allah grant them strength, patience, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
