Tinubu-Ojo adds ‘Iyaloja General of Nigeria,’ ‘First Daughter of FRN’ to Twitter bio

Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of Bola and the iyaloja-general of Lagos, has upgraded herself to the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, and ‘first daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN).’

Tinubu-Ojo added the two titles to her Twitter bio after Bola Tinubu’s inauguration as the president of Nigeria.

Tinubu and Kashim Shettima were sworn in as president and vice-president of the federation on May 29 at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

Tinubu’s inauguration automatically confers the first lady title on his wife and his family as the first family of the country.

However, in what could be a first on these shores, Tinubu-Ojo, who is also the daughter of the president, edited her bio to include that she is now the first daughter of Nigeria and the Iyaloja of the entire Nigeria.

Iyaloja is a Yoruba word which literally translates to “Mother of Markets.”

Tinubu-Ojo has been the unofficial head of markets in Lagos State, as the Iyaloja of the state.
