Oscars 2025: Anora wins big as Dune: Part Two, Wicked, The Brutalist shine

The 2025 Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles, celebrating the best movies of the past year. Anora was the biggest winner of the night, taking home Best Picture, Best Actress for Mikey Madison, Best Director for Sean Baker, and Best Film Editing.

Adrien Brody won Best Actor for his role in The Brutalist, while Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez) and Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain) won Best Supporting Actress and Actor, respectively.

Other Big Winners:

Dune: Part Two won Best Visual Effects and Best Sound

Wicked won Best Costume Design and Best Production Design

The Brutalist won Best Cinematography and Best Original Score

Emilia Pérez won Best Original Song for “El Mal”
