Nnanna Ngwu, late chair of Alex Otti campaign council laid to rest

Family, friends and political allies of Mazi Nnanna Ngwu gathered at Amuvi, Arochukwu, Abia State, on Thursday to bid farewell to the Late Chairman of the Alex Otti Campaign Council.
Hon Ngwu died November 23, 2022, at a hospital in Nigeria, after a brief illness.
Speaking at the funeral service Thursday at the Presbyterian Church, Amuvi, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, described the late Nnanna Ngwu as an ally and confidant, adding that his death was a very painful one for him.
Otti extolled the virtues of the late chairman of his campaign council, saying that his honesty and diligence in the discharge of his duties were unparalleled.
“I want to put it on record that he is probably the only person that you will give money to go for an assignment, he comes back, he does not only give you a comprehensive account, but also returns money to you,” he said.
The LP gubernatorial frontrunner commiserated with the family and loved ones the deceased politician and a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God left behind and admonished them to be strong.
“We are mourning, but we should not mourn as unbelievers because we know that he has gone to a good place, and we believe that on that resurrection morning that we will see him to part no more.
“Let me finally say to the family, don’t feel you’re alone, we will stand by you,” he declared.
At the funeral ceremonies with Dr. Otti were his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti; running mate, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu; LP chairman in Abia, Comrade Ceekay Igara; State Campaign Council Coordinator, Hon Iheanacho Obioma and other members of the campaign council.
Also, in attendance were some Labour Party candidates in Abia, including the Abia North Senatorial candidate, Chief Nnamdi Iro Oji (Opotoyom) and Arochukwu-Ohafia Federal Constituency candidate, Hon Ibe Okwara Osonwa among other political actors in Abia State.
