Araraume praises Tinubu’s leadership as APC elects new NEC

By Adebayo Obajemu
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership following the successful conduct of the party’s national convention, which produced a new National Executive Committee (NEC) led by Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
In a statement, Araraume attributed the peaceful conduct of the convention and the seamless emergence of the new NEC to the firm leadership, wise counsel and untiring commitment of President Tinubu as leader of the party.
According to him, the president’s leadership qualities have continued to strengthen the APC and position it for greater unity and progress.
Araraume also congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Professor Yilwatda, noting that his return to the position reflects his proven leadership style, which he described as inclusive, disciplined and strategic.
He said the chairman’s leadership qualities played a significant role in earning the confidence of party members, stressing that expectations are now high for him to consolidate unity within the party.
“The National Chairman must leverage the very leadership style that brought him back to consolidate the party’s unity and deliberately create room for new entrants into the APC,” Araraume said.
“His responsible leadership will, in turn, produce responsible party faithful – men and women of integrity, competence and vision – who will champion the future of Nigeria and secure victory for the party in the coming elections.”
Araraume urged members of the newly constituted NEC to build on the momentum generated by the convention by strengthening the party’s internal processes and preparing for future electoral contests.
He also advised the leadership to focus on conducting credible primary elections that will produce the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections, while continuing to welcome new stakeholders into the APC.
The former senator prayed for divine guidance for the new NEC, expressing confidence that its members would work diligently to justify the trust placed in them and take the ruling party to greater heights.
