THE All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared all electoral posts in Jigawa State as its governorship candidate, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, was declared winner of the last Saturday gubernatorial election.

Announcing the result, the chief returning officer in the state, Professor James Ayatsa said, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar of APC emerged winner, having scored the highest number of votes against all other contestants in the election.

Ayatsa explained that the APC candidate scored 648,045 votes, while the PDP candidate, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim got 479,447; APGA candidate had 1,997 while NCP scored 1,395.

Meanwhile, the APC also won the 11 seats in the House of Representatives and 25 out of 30 seats of the state House of Assembly while PDP got only five seats.
