BREAKING: Gunmen attack Labour Party members in Enugu, burn three to death

Some unknown gunmen on Wednesday evening, killed at least three members of the Labour Party in Amechi, Nkanu area of Enugu State.

Unconfirmed reports say one of those killed is the party’s senatorial candidate for Enugu East.

Witnesses said the Labour Party members were traveling in Sienna Bus branded in the party’s colours when they were attacked by the gunmen who shot at the vehicle and subsequently set it ablaze, killing all the occupants.

“This happened just moments ago. The gunmen came out of nowhere and started shooting at the vehicle. They shot it severally before setting it ablaze.

“We watched the vehicle burn, but couldn’t held because there was nothing we could do. When the car finished burning, we approached it and I can count three corpses already.”
