Wizkid on why he dumped MTN for Glo

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun? Yes, that’s the real names of hip-hop youngster popularly known as Wizkid. It is no longer news that his deal with telecoms operators, MTN, recently went awry consequent upon which they parted ways.

And of course the latest development is that he and Globacom has become an item as he got hooked for a fresh deal worth millions of naira.

Sunday Are, his manager who confirmed the new deal, noted that Wizkid had actually eyed the Globacom brand for quite some time now. And in the words of the popular crooner,  He added that it is a brand that has a massive impact and image in the entertainment industry.

”Globacom is huge in my industry and I see the evidence of the company’s commitment to improving the industry and the lives of its practitioners every where I turn. To be honest, it’s been a dream to have a working relationship with the Glo brand. It’s an opportunity to turn a dream into reality,” Wizkid confessed.

He continued: ”My decision to go with Globacom this time around is not an act of spite against MTN. I simply seized an opportunity to move from Yellow land to greener pastures.’’
