The FIFA World Cup 2026 continued with another dramatic day of football as nations battled for important points in the group stages. Fans were treated to exciting performances, surprise results and individual moments of brilliance as the world’s biggest football tournament continued.
The day saw Morocco hold Brazil to a 1–1 draw, Scotland claim a historic victory over Haiti, Australia defeat Türkiye, while Qatar and Switzerland shared the points in a competitive encounter.

Australia delivered one of the most impressive performances of the day with a convincing win over Türkiye.The Socceroos showed discipline, pace and attacking confidence as they controlled key moments of the match. Nestory Irankunda gave Australia the lead with a quick counter-attacking goal before they added another goal to complete a 2–0 victory.
The result puts Australia in a strong position in Group D, while Türkiye will need to recover quickly in their remaining matches.
Qatar 1–1 Switzerland: Late Drama Earns Qatar a Point
Qatar and Switzerland played out a competitive draw as both teams fought hard for a positive start.Switzerland took the lead through Breel Embolo, but Qatar found a late equaliser through a dramatic Miro Muheim own goal to secure a valuable point.
