JUST IN: Arsenal are Premier League champions

Arsenal have finally reclaimed the Premier League title after 22 years, with Manchester City’s draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday night officially handing Mikel Arteta’s side the crown.
City needed victory to keep the title race alive until the final day, but Pep Guardiola’s men stumbled as Eli Junior Kroupi’s first-half strike condemned them to dropped points despite Erling Haaland’s stoppage-time equaliser.
The result leaves Arsenal unreachable at the top on 82 points with one game remaining, sparking wild celebrations across north London.
It marks Arsenal’s first league triumph since Arsene Wenger’s legendary “Invincibles” conquered England in the 2003/04 season, ending the club’s longest title drought since World War II.
Arteta’s men have combined defensive discipline with resilience throughout the campaign, keeping 19 clean sheets and recovering strongly after a costly defeat to City at the Etihad last month threatened to derail their ambitions.
Since then, the Gunners have responded in champion’s fashion, winning four straight league matches without conceding to pile relentless pressure on City, who ultimately cracked.
Arsenal will now lift the trophy after Sunday’s clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, but the season could yet become even more historic.
The north London side still have the opportunity to complete a stunning double by defeating Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
