ANC officially asks Jacob Zuma to leave office as president

South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC) has officially notified President Jacob Zuma of its intention to recall him from office.

This was disclosed by the Secretary General of the party, Ace Magashule, while addressing a world press conference in the country Tuesday afternoon.

He noted that Jacob Zuma has been briefed and has requested for three months to leave office.

Magashule said that President had not been given a specific deadline to respond but he would be given ‘time and space’ to do that.
