The Nigerian stock market on Tuesday closed bearish as the All Share Index was down by 0.91% to close at 194,484.61 points from the previous close of 196,263.55 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.91% to close at N124.827 trillion from the previous close of N125.969 trillion, thereby shedding N1.14 trillion.
An aggregate of 1.14 billion units of shares were traded in 72,218 deals, valued at N53.35 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 29 equities emerged as gainers against 40 that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
JAIZ BANK led other gainers with 10.00% growth to close at N10.76 from the previous close of N11.60.
INFINITY, FCMB and FTG Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.83%, 9.72% and 9.09% respectively.
Percentage Losers
DAAR COMMUNICATION and TANTALIZER led other price decliners as they shed 10.00% each of their share prices to close at N2.25 and N4.86 respectively.
BUAFOOD, ELLAHLAKE and JAPAULGOLD among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.99%, 9.96% and 9.95% respectively.
Volume Drivers
JAPAULGOLD traded about 102 million units of its shares in just 2451 deals, valued at N399.8 million.
ACCESSCORP traded about 98 million units of its shares in 2442 deals, valued at N2.59 billion.
Zenith Bank traded about 68 million units of its shares in 3790 deals, valued at N6.17 billion.
