UBA to hold Annual General Meeting, April 1

United Bank for Africa Plc has notified the investing public of its 59th Annual General Meeting that is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at UBA House, 57 Marina, Lagos by 10am.

According to the statement by the bank, attendance of the AGM is by proxy. This is in line with guidelines and directives aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The Federal Government prohibited the gathering of more than 50 people, while the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) issued Guidelines on Holding AGM of Public Companies by Proxy. The convening and conduct of the AGM shall be done in compliance with these directives and guidelines.

In line with CAC Guidelines, attendance of the AGM shall be by proxy only. Shareholders are required to appoint a proxy of their choice from the list of nominated proxies below:

Dividend Payment

If the dividend recommended by the Directors is approved, dividend will be posted electronically on Thursday, April 1, 2021 to all shareholders whose names are registered in the Company’s Register of Members as at the close of business on Friday, March 19, 2021 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and have mandated the Registrars to pay dividend directly into their bank accounts.

Closure of Register of Members

The Register of Members will be closed from Monday, March 22, 2021 to Friday, March 26, 2021 for the purpose of paying dividend and updating the register
