Tinubu’s trip, which commenced on Tuesday, included bilateral engagements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the signing of nine agreements in areas such as defence, energy, security, and research.

The discussions between both leaders centred on strengthening cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye across key sectors of shared interest.

The President was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar; the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi; the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.); and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
