NGX deepens financial literacy with digital retail engagement initiative

Activities on the floor of Nigerian Exchange on Tuesday grew further as the All-Share Index closed 0.67% higher to settle at 205,831.38 compared to 204,458.86 recorded on Monday.

The market capitalisation rose by N883 billion or 0.67% to close at N132.492 trillion from N131.609 trillion recorded in the last session.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks settled at 569 million units and N32 billion in 45,777 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 41 stocks gained against 21 stocks that declined in their share prices at the end of the day’s trading

Percentage Gainers

Ecobank and STANBIC IBTC led the gainers chart with 10.00% growth each.

NGXGROUP, Cornerstone Insurance, and MECURE also made it to the green table, gaining 9.97%, 9.94% and 9.92% respectively.

Fortis Global Insurance tops the price decliners’ list, shedding 8.20% of it share price to close at N1.12 and N1.22.

MCNICHOLS, Academy Press and International Energy Insurance, shedding 8.17%, 6.96% and 6.88% respectively, ahead of other price decliners.

Volume Drivers

ACCESSCORP traded about 68 million units of its shares in 1,858 deals, valued at about N1.75 billion.

Zenith Bank traded about 40 million units of its shares in 3,207 deals, valued at about N4.50 billion.

GTCO traded about 31 million units of its shares in 3168 deals, valued at about N3.80 billion.
