Stock market extends bullish trend, up by 0.55%

The Nigerian stock market on Monday extended its bullish trend to as the All Share Index grew by 0.55% to close at 153,389.53 points from the previous close of 153,539.83 points.

The Market Capitalisation grew by 0.55% to close at N98.432 trillion from the previous close of N97.890 trillion, thereby adding N542 billion.

An aggregate of 1.47 billion units of shares were traded in 47,892 deals, valued at N35.5 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 41 equities emerged as gainers against 37 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

AUSTINLAZ and Ecobank led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N3.52 and N41.80 from the previous close of N3.20 and N38.00 respectively.

EUNISELL, Honeywell Flour and GUINNESS among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.95%, 9.86% and 9.82% respectively.

Percentage Losers

International Energy Insurance led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N2.34 from the previous close of N2.60.

MEYER and ETRANZACT among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.92% and 9.92% respectively.

Volume Drivers

ACCESSCORP traded about 594 million units of its shares in 2,254 deals, valued at N12.4 billion.

Champion Breweries traded about 122 million units of its shares in 323 deals, valued at N1.8 billion.

FCMB traded about 117 million units of its shares in 755 deals, valued at N1.3 billion.
