Ogun LG assures CDCs of speedy reformative changes at the grassroots

 

As part of its efforts to extend the dividends of democracy to the grassroots, the people of Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, have been assured of developmental policies that would bring about reformative changes and harmonious coexistence amongst communities.

The Chairman, Dr. Olusola Akinbode represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olumide Ilori, made the revelation during the Ogun West Zonal Community Development Committee (ZCDC) meeting at Omidokun Ultra-Modern Hall, Ayetoro.

He emphasised the need for mutual understanding and cooperation among Community Leaders and Government, noting that such would help in formulating policies, creating more zonal areas as well as bringing dividends of democracy to the door step of the people at the grassroots.

The Chairman also appreciated the committee members for their unflinching support for the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun as demonstrated at the last Local Government election, while promising a positive change in the administration of community service

Responding, Chairman, Ogun West Senatorial, Community Development Committee, Prince Deji Dosunmu, urged the Council Chairman to operate an open-door policy, and address germane issues such as, issuing of grant and assistance to CDC as and when due which was crucial to sustainability of its members.

In his remarks, Zonal CDC Chairman, Yewa North, Chief Opeyemi Opebiyi, lauded the Council for supporting the completion of some developmental projects across the council area to include, Electrification project in Idagba, Ayetoro, Town Halls at Oja-Odan and Tobolo, pledging the committee’s maximum support and cooperation.

Other Zonal Chairmen present at the meeting were, the Zonal CDC Chairman, Ado-Odo Ota, Prince Olatunji Onaolapo, Hon. Ayinde Suuru, Ipokia, Hon. Kehinde Ajaba, Imeko-Afon, Comrade Olabode Egunjobi, Yewa South, representatives across the five Local Governments of the Senatorial and Representatives of Community Department of the Council.
