Labour Party’s legal team meets INEC to inspect election materials

The legal team of the Labour Party (LP), on Monday met with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to inspect materials used for the February 25 presidential polls.

The meeting with INEC officials was held at the Commission’s national headquarters in Abuja, is to start the process of inspection of electoral materials used for the presidential election.

Livy Uzoukwu, head of the legal team, led 60 lawyers to the meeting which is taking place at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The party had alleged that the electoral body denied it access to the materials despite a court order permitting it to access the materials.
