The Network of Book Clubs and Reading Culture Promoters in Nigeria (NBRP) says it stands in solidarity with Mr John Obot and the Uyo Book Club as he sets out on his Guinness World Record longest reading attempt, Readmania, at Watbridge Hotel, Uyo from September 9 to 15, 2023.
“We encourage all book lovers and champions of the reading promotions process to similarly support and encourage this initiative that will no doubt call renewed attention to the fortunes of the reading culture in Akwa, Ibom, Nigeria and Africa,” the NBRP said in a statement by its president, Mr. Richard Mammah, on Tuesday.
“We also recall our similar support for another of our members, Bayode Treasures Olawumi when he also undertook similar campaigns in the past.
“Go, Obot, go!”
