Budget padding: Jibrin shuns Ethics Committee hearing

The House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges on Friday commenced its investigative hearing into the allegations levelled against the former Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

The Chairman of the Committee, Nicholas Ossai, presided over the session, but Jibrin was not present at the hearing.

This comes barely 48 hours after the House mandated the Ethics committee to probe allegations of misconduct against the former Appropriations Committee chairman.
