Abia Guber: Abaribe urges INEC to declare Otti winner, says he clearly won

Enyinnaya Abaribe, senator representing Abia South senatorial district, on Tuesday asked the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) to declare Dr. Alex Otti of the Labour Party the Abia State Governor-elect.

Abaribe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), toldNews Expresson phone Tuesday that Otti won last Saturday’s election.

“Everybody wants this evil government by Okezie (Gov Ikpeazu) in Abia to end,” Abaribe stated.

He added that “PDP does not have the spread as required by the law to win the election, no matter how much money they have bribed the INEC.

“PDP has only six LGA in this election and that cannot give them a win. The Obingwa result they’re contesting, we know how many voters the BVAS accredited. We will not accept anything more than that. Enough of PDP’s rigging in Abia,” said Abaribe.

Meanwhile, INEC said it would resume results collation in Umuahia, the state capital by 4pm today, Wednesday.
