PSG beat Arsenal on penalties to retain UEFA Champions League title

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) successfully defended their UEFA Champions League title on Saturday, after defeating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties, becoming European champions for the second consecutive season.

The French club, which won the competition for the first time in 2025, repeated the feat with another impressive campaign, cementing its place among the continent’s elite teams.

 

The game moved to panalties after a 1-1 stalemate over 120 minutes with 6th minute strike by Kai Harvetz, which was cancelled out in the second half by Ousmane Dembele penalty.

 

PSG’s triumph marks a significant milestone in the club’s history, ending years of disappointment in Europe and establishing a period of sustained success at the highest level of club football.
