Ogbuku reaffirms commitment to reforms, digitisation in NDDC

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to reforms and digitisation aimed at improving service delivery across the Niger Delta region.
Ogbuku stated this during a working visit to the NDDC Bayelsa State Office in Yenagoa, where he met with members of staff and commended them for their dedication and professionalism.
The NDDC boss expressed satisfaction with the reception accorded him and praised the workforce for what he described as their resilience and commitment to the Commission’s renewed vision of repositioning the agency for greater efficiency and impact.
According to him, staff commitment remains vital to the Commission’s efforts to deliver sustainable development projects and improve the living conditions of people in the Niger Delta.
He said the engagement with staff provided an opportunity to strengthen internal collaboration and discuss ongoing developments within the Commission.
Ogbuku also briefed workers on policy reforms and digitisation initiatives currently being implemented by the NDDC, stressing that the measures were necessary to modernise the institution and improve operational standards.
He explained that the reforms were designed to streamline workflow processes, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and eliminate inefficiencies that had previously hindered effective service delivery.
The Managing Director further noted that the digitisation programme would enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency while creating a more responsive system capable of addressing the developmental needs of the region.
He urged members of staff to embrace the reforms and remain committed to the Commission’s transformation agenda, noting that their cooperation and professionalism were critical to achieving the desired objectives.
Ogbuku reiterated the Commission’s resolve to build a stronger and more effective institution capable of delivering on its mandate and restoring public confidence in the NDDC.
The visit formed part of his broader working tour and stakeholder engagement initiative aimed at advancing the Commission’s renewed vision for sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, the Director of the Bayelsa State Office, Godknows Alamieyeseigha, thanked the Managing Director for the opportunity to interact with workers.
He assured Ogbuku that staff members would continue to provide quality service for the benefit of the Niger Delta region.
