Imo APC federal house primary election shocks stakeholders

There were unexpected shocks as the All Progressives Congress, APC, conducted its House of Representatives in 10 federal constituencies.
The federal house primary election produced Jonas Okeke for Okigwe South, Eugene Dibiagwu for Oguta/Ohaji-Egbema/Oru-West, Tochi Okere for Owerri and Ngozi Pat-Ekeji for Aboh/Ngor-Okpala.
The others who were also elected on the APC House of Representatives primary election included Chukwudi Anyanwuocha for Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Mbaise, Sandra Inyama for Ideato South/ Ideato North, Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East, Uchenna Agasu for Okigwe North, Akarachi Amadi for Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru as well as Cosmos Maduba for Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba.
A critical look at the ranking bove revealed that about four serving and ranking members of the federal house that lost out in the primary election. The member representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise, The Rt Hon Emeka Martins Chinedu; the member representing Okigwe South, Deacon Charles Okafor and his Okigwe North counterpart, Princess Miram Onuoha lost their respective bids to stage a come back to the House of Representatives as they lost their primary elections, accordingly.
Before the primary election, the Imo State governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma, had made it categorically clear that the APC would not give considertion to all aspirants who were on second or third tenures. He equally stated that the party would not also give a hoot to all aspirants who zoning did not favour.
According to him, “Do not use the money you have been keeping for house rent, school fees, business and savings to contest for party primaries. You may suffer from stroke if you go contrary to this my warning”.
He added, “Equally, APC will not give primary election ticket anyone who zoning does not favour. And, if any aspirant has been to the Federal House for twice or thrice, that aspirant may or may not have it”.
An APC leader in Owerri, Prince Eke Owuamanam, lauded the party, particularly the governor and the state working committe for organizing a free and fair primary election.
