Nigerian Breweries will Focus on Immediate Actions to Deliver Sustainable Growth – Boidin

The Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries, Thibaut Boidin has said that the Company will focus on immediate actions to deliver sustainable growth. This was disclosed at the Company’s Pre- AGM media briefing at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja on April 16, 2026. The event is to herald the Company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to hold soon.
Speaking during his brief, Boidin reminds the gathering that Nigerian Breweries is the first in the country since 1946, adding values, promoting cultures and creating means of employment to Nigerian in different communities
He reiterated that the company will focus on recovery of debts recorded over the past three years, and that the company will facilitate growth for the future.
‘We will focus on quality of our product as well as safety of our staffs. We will not compromise to deliver as promised to our customers’, he stated.
In the same development, the MD/CEO applauded the media for contributing to the growth of the company via fair reporting of their stories.
He noted that the company met debt of N200billion from the past leadership of the company, he however stated that the company closed last year with profit of N60billion. He commended the team working with him for a good job done over the year.
He boasted about the rich portfolio of the company and he believed that the portfolio is among the best in the country.
According to him, brands like Maltina, Goldberg and Legend are growing considerably in the market despite the volatile environment; insecurity in the country as well as the ongoing war in the Middle East which is affecting the company.
‘Maltina was the core business of Nigerian Breweries that was consumed by both an adult and young individuals’, he stated.
He described Maltina as a progressive brand that nourishes the body with great percentage of nutritional values like vitamin A, Vitamin C and carbohydrates.
‘One kilogram of Maltina is equivalent to half cup of milk’.
‘We are very intentional of pushing this brand, because of the nutritional values it possessed’, he noted.
He posited that after a very challenging year of becoming the MD/CEO, he said is team is working on capacity building, growth, profit and positive outlook in the market.
‘We are winning in the market, in the south, east, north, and western part of the country’, he boasted.
However, he implored the shareholders to be patient concerning the company inability to pay dividends, which he assured the media that his team is working over it.
‘On dividends, our financial statement was not fair enough considering the outlook. The issue of dividend payment will be analyzed when we have positive result from our next financial statement’, Emmanuel Oriakhi, Nigerian Breweries Finance Director assured the public.
The MD/CEO reiterated that the organization has contributed immensely to the growth and welfare of several communities in the country via corporate social responsibility initiatives like Kaduna – Hydropower project, Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, Heineken Lagos Fashion Week and partnering with AMVCA awards. These programmes are intended to creates an enabling environment for the organization as well as adding values to every community connected to Nigerian Breweries.
The company commended the government’s efforts for being engaging and reasonable concerning her numerous policies on manufacturing companies in the country.
The Corporate Affairs Director, Dr. Uzodinma Odenigbo, appreciated the presence of media practitioners for their sustained support and partnership over the years.
He appreciated the continued support from the media for writing the stories of Nigerian Breweries with fairness and accountability at every given opportunity.

‘We do not only comeback with rebounds with our great performance in 2025, we also demonstrate discipline, focus and we believe that in difficult environment, growth is indeed possible’.
‘As we approach our 80 years of operating in Nigeria, it is also a moment to reflect on our legacy, and to focus on the journey ahead of us as a company’, he stated.
He therefore, welcomed the MD/CEO of Nigerian Breweries, Mr. Thibaut Boidin to the podium.
