Nigerian Bourse stays 0.30% afloat, gains N262bn

Stock market rises further by 0.12%

The Nigerian Bourse on Monday closed bullish as the All Share Index grew further by 0.30% to close at 139,394.75 points from Friday’s close of 138,980.01 points.

Investors gained N262 billion as market capitalisation advanced to N88.199 trillion from N87.937 of the last trading session.

An aggregate of 948 million units of shares were traded in 36,036 deals, valued at N18 billion.

Market Breadth

The Market Breadth closed positive as 41 equities appreciated in their share prices against 18 that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

PZ and University Press led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N35.20 and N5.50 from the previous close of N32.00 and N5.00 respectively.

ELLAHLAKES grew 9.94% and Legend Internet grew 9.90% ahead of other stocks on the gainer chart.

Percentage Losers

IMG, ENAMELWA, THOMASWYAT, and UNIONDICON top the losers’ chart losing 10.00% each of their share prices, also on the list are Academy Press, ETERNA OIL ahead of others shed their share prices by 9.95% and 9.36% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FCMB traded about 461 million units of its shares were traded in 679 deals, valued at about 4.7 billion.

Universal Insurance traded about 42 million units of its shares were traded in 318 deals, valued at N53.4 million.

Royal Exchange traded about 35 million units of its shares in 108 deals, valued at about N72.5 million.
