The commissioner said the woman had narrated her ordeal to the police and added that the police were working with the information they got from her.

Nwosu was abducted by unknown gunmen who invaded their home on Monday at about 2a.m. at Okota area of Lagos.

The gunmen had demanded for N100 million as ransom before she would be released.

Owoseni, who did not mention if any ransom was paid before her release, commended her husband for cooperating with the police.

He said the command was doing everything possible to track the suspected kidnappers.

“Detectives and other intelligence operatives are working day and night to track the suspected criminals and bring them to book.

“I seize this opportunity to appeal to our people to know that for incidents like this, we need to work together.

“Steve Nwosu gave us all necessary cooperation before his wife was released. People should not do anything that would hinder investigations,’’ Owoseni advised. (NAN)
