‘We’ve been brought to the desert and abandoned,’ Nigerian students escaping Sudan war lament

Some Nigerian students who are being conveyed out of Sudan have alleged that the buses hired by the federal government brought them to the desert and abandoned them.

In a video posted on social media, the students can be heard lamenting that they have nothing left with them, while the bus drivers have refused to move.

They said the drivers complained that they have not been been paid.

This is even as the federal government says it had spent $1.2m on the logistics of transporting the students to Egypt.
