Stock market sustains bullish streak, gained N459bn

The Nigerian stock market on Wednesday sustained bullish streak, closing higher to make it nine straight consecutive sessions.
The All Share Index appreciated by 0.50%, closing at 145,719.09 points from the previous close of 144,995.26 points.
Investors gained N459 billion as the Market Capitalisation grew by 0.50% to close at N92.490 trillion from the previous close of N92.031 trillion.
An aggregate of 526 million units of shares were traded in 25,597 deals, valued at N13.6 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 29 equities emerged as gainers against 34 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
FTNCOCOA led other gainers with 8.89% growth to close at N6.00 from the previous close of N5.51
Livestock Feeds, ETERNA OIL and Prestige Assurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.43%, 6.96% and 4.94% respectively.
Percentage Losers
IMG led other price decliners as it sheds 9.97% of its share price, closing at N32.95 from 36.60 on Monday.
Living Trust Insurance and Sunu Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.93% and 9.48% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Consolidated Hallmark Holdings traded about 84 million units of its shares in 100 deals, valued at about N351 million.
FIRSTHOLDINGCO traded about 37 million units of its shares in 341 deals, valued at about N1.12 billion.
JAIZ BANK traded about 29 million units of its shares in 595 deals, valued at N125.6 million.
